Virtual Lecture with Q&A illustrator/designer Lisa Champ

Published by Cindy Buckley Koren on

Lisa Champ is a designer, typographer, illustrator and creative director living and working in NYC. She received her BFA from Pratt Institute in 2011 and is a graduate of the Type@Cooper program. Not only did I have the pleasure of being Lisa’s professor at PrattMWP my husband was her high school science teacher. Lisa was the very first PrattMWP student to earn an American Graphic Design Award and to be recognized by GDUSA /Graphic Design Magazine as a “student to watch.” Lisa has always found ways to give back to the college, whether it was her senior thesis project—a social network for connecting MWP alumni called alumncore or giving the commencement speech on our campus. Lisa‘s work is exciting, fresh and relevant but the best part of all is that she and her team have been collaborating with me on a big project that involves interviewing pillars of the design community such as Steven Heller and Milton Glaser. It is my honor and privilege to work with her—please welcome Lisa Champ!
