The Institute of Medicine admits that the current vaccination schedule has not been researched to determine whether or not it is safe in its entirety. Their 2013 Report makes the following statements:
“studies designed to examine the long term effects of the cumulative number of vaccines . . . have not been conducted.”
“existing research has not been designed to test the entire immunization schedule.”
“the committee generally found a paucity of information that addressed the risk of adverse events in association with the complete recommended immunization schedule.”
Final Notice — A micro-memoir by Cindy Buckley Koren
It wasn’t the first, second, or even third—it was the final notice from the school district. With the official document in hand, all I could think of was how my baby had hit every milestone, smiling, laughing, and talking. How could it be a coincidence that he had gotten so sick after his immunizations and regressed into a world of autism? The pediatrician swore that all of the shots were safe and effective and arrogantly claimed “I’ll prove it.” As he read the tiny print on the vaccine insert to his surprise and shame he found that the flu shot contains a known neurotoxin—Thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative.
“I won’t take that chance of losing him again and am prepared to quit my job to home school” I explained to the nurse. On our way out of the examination room, she offered a titer test to measure his immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella. I agreed but didn’t have much hope. After all, they wouldn’t require booster shots if children were immune. It was with pure relief I tore up my resignation as I read the results and in that same moment, I reflected on how many parents must simply comply with this risky and likely unnecessary procedure.
Educate before you vaccinate.
