Congratulations to Team UP for proposing a campaign to lift spirits in the City of Utica.

Let’s face it, Utica, NY has an image problem. For the last several years, the City has been making lists—and not usually the good kind.

Gallop Poll: Utica declared  to be one of the 10 saddest cities in the nation.

In 2015, Forbes ranked Utica, NY the third worst place for business and careers—although I am happy to report that I could not find it with the worst ten for 2016.

The {meetinghouse} creative collaborative has always been dedicated to “doing stuff that matters.” This year, four dedicated creatives accepted the Upstate NY AIGA student challenge to create positive social change. The project started out as an inspired collaboration with City Hall and resulted in an incredible lesson to be shared—and a campaign to be PROUD of.

Below is a sneak peek at concepts being developed by Team UP.  Much more to come—results posted here.
